Delta School District

Etwa 40 Autominuten südlich vom Stadtkern Vancouvers liegt der Schulbezirk Delta, eine wunderschöne sichere Gegend, an drei Seiten umgeben vom Pazifik mit schönen Stränden, Parks und Bergen. In den zu Delta gehörenden drei Gemeinden, Ladner, North Delta und Tsawwassen, wohnen insgesamt ca. 120.000 Einwohner*innen. Die Region ist dafür bekannt, die meisten Sonnenstunden und das mildeste Klima im Raum Vancouver zu haben.

Teilnehmer*innen haben die Möglichkeit, in einem Vorort der Metropole Vancouver zu wohnen und dadurch schnell in die Natur oder nach Downtown Vancouver zu gelangen. Für die internationalen Schüler*innen, die jährlich aus der ganzen Welt in den Schulbezirk Delta kommen, stehen sieben Secondary Schools zur Auswahl – kleinere, größere, naturwissenschaftlich oder künstlerisch geprägte. Zwei Schulen bieten French Immersion an. Außerdem gibt es viele Sonderprogramme (Academys) für Ice Hockey, Golf, Girls Soccer, Dance, Film Acting, Baseball, Film Production und Softball.
